There are no gross lesions in pigs showing congenital progress. In the case of postprandial systemic wasting syndrome, clinical symptoms such as weight loss, mastication, typical atrophy, dyspnea and jaundice as well as diarrhea, cough and central nervous system anxiety are seen. For precise diagnosis, a molecular biology test using a PCR method is necessary to isolate virus using tissue cultured cells or to detect two types of PCV.
